December, 2008VII edition of the Bethlehem of the Solidarity
Initiative created by transplanted persons and sanitary professionals to enjoy our traditions belenistas and to throw a message full of life: "A TRANSPLANT IS ANOTHER BIRTH".
One opened to the pœblico on December 8 in the convent of Santa Rosalía, being visited by 70.000 persons: families, schools, adults and children have enjoyed the only Bethlehem.
All the visitors took a respect message to our traditions along with an emotive information showed by the transplanted, always present persons in the Bethlehem. 10.000 donors' cards have been delivered and 10.000 informative diptyches on donations and transplants; there were given to the children 20.000 balloons of helium and more than 200 kilos of caramels.
The morning of January 5 Magi "who are born again every day" visited the Bethlehem and distributed 700 toys to the children and girls who visited us.
One more year the aftereffect of the national, local and Andalusian informative means has been notable.

November, 2008
On November 15, the first Anniversary of the Patronazgo of the Virgin of the Star and the Transplanted ones of Heart. We will celebrate the Sta Misa to 11.30 a.m for our deceased partners and thanksgiving for the donors of organs and blood.
We will have the coexistence lunch to 14.30 p.m in the Italic Treasury Department, placed in Santiponce, Avda. of Extremadura, 1. In her there will be delivered the Honorific ensigns of recognition of our Association.
Mass anniversary
We begin with the celebration of the Holy Mass in the Chapel of the Star, whose venerable images are Employers of our Association. We were commemorating the second year of the Patronazgo. The Holy Mass sought employment in thanksgiving for all those persons organs donors and we did memory of all the deceased partners.
In the presentation of the gifts each flowers branches were delivered to our Father Jesus de las Penas and Maria Santísima de la Estrella. In this moment the treasurer of the Association in name and gratitude of the same one, Francisco Garrido, did delivery of a brooch in the shape of heart to the Older brother of the Brotherhood, Manuel Domínguez so that the Virgin takes it like brotherhood sign between both corporations.

In the Italic Treasury Department, in Santiponce, the coexistence lunch is celebrated between transplanted partners, relatives, collaborating volunteers and medical doctors related to the area of cardiology. After the desserts, we did our humble one but felt recognition and gratitude to the different persons who with his work and dedication like that were deserving it, for his silent and meritorious work in the advance of the skills and achievements in the procedures of cardiac transplants.
The golden ensign of the Association delivered to itself to the Dr. angel Martínez Martínez for his pioneering work in the creation and starting of the Unit of Transplants in the Virgin Hospital of the Dew and the dedication that it had in his years of pursuit to the transplanted ones. At present he is the Director of the Unit of Clinical Management of the area of Cardiology. It imposed on him the ensign Dr. Antonio Ordóñez, Associate of Honor of our Association and cardiovascular surgeon.
Dr. Martínez was grateful deeply and with very much feeling the fact of being recognized by the biggest designation of our Association, said "it has been put along with my heart and there I will always take it". It did memory of as there were the beginning of the transplants in the Virgin Hospital of the Dew of Seville a lot of efforts and barriers that it had to overcome together with the team formed by Dr. Antonio Ordóñez, like surgeon, Dr. Pérez Bernal in the UCI and he, like Cardiologist.
The second honorific mention relapsed into two persons who today are in the breach offering us the best quality of his professionalism and accurate pursuit, Dr. Ernesto Lage and the Dr. José Manuel Sobrino a tandem that takes the work of external consultations, protocol of those who will be transplanted and reception and pursuit of the transplanted ones since they go out of the UCI. It was our president who did to them delivery of an honorific badge of gratitude and recognition. They had words of gratitude and affection for all.
The coexistence finished advanced the evening in a warm climate of companionship and happiness for the fact of turning out to be together and far from hospitals, the best sign of that our hearts keep on enjoying of good health. The bishop of Huelva encourages the organs donations. TRANSPLANTS, SOLIDARITY AND HOPE
Mons. D José Vilaplana. Bishop of Huelva, has supported a meeting of work with transplanted persons of liver, heart, kidney and lung, with donors' relatives of organs and with the Sectorial Coordinator of transplants of Seville and Huelva, they All requested his support to encourage the organs Donations in the Diocese of Huelva.
Mons. Vilaplana is a defender of the Donations and transplantations of organs and of the struggle for the life of the incurable patients, whose only hope resides in the anonymous solidarity. With the organs Donation a death one can trasformar in life for many patients.
He was interested by the patients of Huelva by waiting-list pair transplants, for the noble feelings of the families of the Donors of organs and for the quality of life of the transplanted persons. I emphasize that It Has hope and a Solidarity there are two very Christian words related to the transplants and to the struggle for the Life.
